Hillside Montessori is an authentic Montessori school hidden in the hills of Trabuco Canyon, but just minutes away from “suburbia Orange County”.  My wife and I looked at over 20 schools and this stands above and beyond the rest. We have a daughter who has attended for almost 3 years, and our son is currently in his 1st year. Both kids are so happy and are thriving here.  We are excited that they have started the Montessori elementary school, and will definitely be sending our kids there, as well.

A lot of the schools we visited were in strip malls near busy streets.  This location is beautiful- a quiet, serene campus, tucked in the canyon that includes a garden right in the school yard.  The teachers are all seasoned Montessori educators, who strive to maintain a seamless Montessori classroom, teach the kids to LOVE learning, how to work together, to discover the world around them, ask questions, research answers, and have fun doing it all. They offer many programs to the kids such as art, Spanish, mandarin, tumbling, sports, cooking, tennis, etc… as well!

I highly recommend touring the school, meeting the director, and discovering for yourself what a great school Hillside Montessori is.

Our son Samuel attended Hillside from the age of 3 to 5. We absolutely loved it. Ms. Ajantha is very dedicated and truly believes in the Montessori method.  We were so sad when we had to leave after Kindergarten.  We went to MOTL, which was the worst decision we ever made. We then attended LePort Schools in MV- although the academics were good, the overall student body culture was pretentious and precocious.  I also found some of the children to be quite mean spirited. It definitely was not Hillside- which creates a very warm and nourishing environment that allows your child to feel confident; and eventually expressing themselves to their full potential.  We we always have such fond memories of Samuel’s preschool and kindergarten years.  Thank you Hillside! My daughter started at Hillside Montessori in the infant room this past year. I could not be happier! The location is beautiful, it’s affordable,, and most importantly the staff truly cares about each child. This is Montessori done right. I’m so thankful to have my daughter there and I’m looking forward to more great years to come. Emily K. Lake Forest, CA

Hillside Montessori is absolutely amazing!  My daughter started in the Toddler room at 2.5 years old and is now 4.5 years old in the preschool room.  The amount of time and energy the teachers and director spend with the children is phenomenol.  My daughter’s growth both academically and socially is incredible and is completely due to this amazing environment.  I would recommend this school to anyone with children 0-5 years.  You’ll be so glad you chose Hillside!

We LOVE Hillside Montessori!  When looking at schools for our daughter we looked at many, and Hillside is by far the very best.  Her teacher is absolutely terrific, and we love that not just her teacher knows who she is, but every teacher at the school knows her, including the directer who is involved daily, and everyone truly cares about each and every child and that they are happy and thriving everyday. The school is set in a beautiful location, has bright, inviting classrooms, and a great schoolyard including animals and a garden.  We love the Montessori teaching method and they are a true authentic Montessori school. We are thrilled to be attending Hillside Montessori.

Hillside Montessori is an outstanding school with a great staff who really cares about the children’s education.  They also do a great job of teaching the children to be independent through taking on small tasks such as cleaning up after themselves and organization. My son is 4 and has been going there for almost three years now. What he learns at school is noticed at home with his ability to easily clean up after himself. The staff often gives advice on what they feel the students need to work on at home to keep their education moving forward at school and at home. The staff is very warm and nurturing.  My son loves going there. The holiday events put on by the staff are outstanding as well. My wife and I are so glad that we’ve enrolled our son here and highly recommend Hillside to anyone looking for a place where their children will get a great education, but will be taught ownership and responsibility as well.
